Fort Rickey has had the honor of touching the lives of children and families for many years. Many of our patrons have recognized the special role this little petting zoo plays in the community and in the world of nature, conservation, and education. There are a lot of ways you can help support the Fort Rickey mission. Financial gifts are always welcome, but we also accept donations of animal toys, unwanted or slightly spoiled produce, cleaning supplies, and farm tools or equipment. sponsorship

Perhaps there is a certain creature you’ve connected with here Fort Rickey and you would like express your love for that animal by helping to care for him or her. When you sponsor an animal your gifts are designated specifically for that animal and you become part of the family! You’ll get “quarterly connections” which are seasonal updates that include exclusive pictures or videos of the animal you sponsor.

volunteering

Whether you have an hour or an entire day free, there are always projects underway here at Fort Rickey that we could use your help with. If you are over 18 and not afraid to get dirty we’ve got a job for you! Click the button below to see the work volunteers typically sign up for. Please be aware, unsupervised direct contact with the animals is prohibited for all volunteers.
